No people group today has lives more disrupted by poverty and exploitation than those of children.

Our Mission

Our mission is a direct result of the teaching of the Bible. Numerous verses already in the Old Testament are emphasising the task of teaching and instructing the children in order that the knowledge of God does not get lost. In Proverbs Solomon mentions that what is taught to a child will not be wasted. Proverbs 22:6 Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. We have all experienced how difficult it is to change a habit we have acquired very early in life. That is exactly what Solomon brings to our attention in this verse. We dare wait until they are grown otherwise they have learned the wrong things early and will not easily depart from them. Jesus warns us in Matthew 18 verse 6 in most dramatic tones about the lack of guiding our children in the right direction. Because if we fail to teach them we are causing them to sin. The results are readily seen in our world.

We are all concerned about our education and training to enter the job market because we know without it we will not be employed. How come that we take it for granted that we can raise our children without a formal training? Is raising children not the most important task of any parent? Or have we all graduated automatically for this important an demanding task? Daily realities suggest that we have not!

The consequences are suffering and traumas that inflict our young people speak a clear language. Far too many are suffering quietly because of fear and the absence of adults that care and have time to help. We believe that it is God's mandate to the church to step in and make a significant difference.

That's why we are dedicated to mobilise and train local churches to invest their energies and means in the young generation. We recognise that we are far to small an organisation to accomplish that task and ask you to partner with us in this most important endeavour.
